Many readers of the Bible struggle to understand it. How about you? How many of you find it difficult to read and comprehend the Old Testament? As a student of the Bible, I was often frustrated when reading the Old Testament. I found it difficult to distinguish when God the Father spoke from when a prophet was speaking. While studying the prophet Isaiah in 2011, God changed the way I read the Bible forever. Early one November morning, God spoke to me and said, “Put my words in a different color.”
Fast forward to December 2015, I signed a contract with Lifeway Christian Publishing to publish the I AM Bible. In October of 2016, the I AM Bible was available to the world.
The I AM Bible (King James Version) highlights in bold black letters all the words in the Bible spoken directly by God the Father, accompanied by commentary notes that provide further insight into each highlighted verse. It also includes the Red Letter Edition, Jesus’ words in red, with commentary notes. The only thing I added to the biblical text is bold letters. The commentary boxes fit between the text columns. The result is a powerful Bible study tool that helps you see the self-revelation of God in the Holy Bible in a fresh way.
The process of developing the I AM Bible changed the way I see and read the Bible.
